Here's a description of what this class entails: Class Title: "Reading Adventures: Exploring Words and Stories" Class Description: In this reading class, emergent readers embark on exciting journeys through the magical world of words and stories. Through a combination of interactive activities, games, and guided reading sessions, students will develop essential early literacy skills while nurturing a passion for reading. Class Objectives: 1. Introduce emergent readers to the joy of reading through engaging and age-appropriate texts. 2. Build foundational skills such as letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and basic sight word recognition. 3. Develop vocabulary and comprehension skills through exposure to rich and varied literature. 4. Cultivate a positive attitude towards reading by creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment. 5. Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills through discussions and activities related to the texts. Class Activities: 1. Shared Reading: Teachers read aloud to the class, modeling fluency, expression, and comprehension strategies. Students participate by chiming in on repeated phrases and discussing the story. 2. Guided Reading Groups: Students are grouped according to their reading levels, and the teacher leads small-group reading sessions tailored to each group's needs. Students practice reading with support and guidance from the teacher. 3.
