Curriculum:
Introduction to Golf
- **Objective:** Familiarize children with the concept of golf and its basic rules.
- Introduction to golf equipment (clubs, balls, tees).
- Explanation of the golf course layout (tees, fairways, greens, hazards).
- Demonstration of proper grip and stance.
Putting Basics
- **Objective:** Teach children the fundamentals of putting.
- Explanation of putting green and the hole.
- Practice proper putting grip and stance.
- Putting drills and games (e.g., distance control, accuracy challenges).
Chipping and Pitching
- **Objective:** Introduce children to chipping and pitching techniques.
- Explanation of chipping vs. pitching.
- Demonstration of proper setup and swing for chipping and pitching.
- Chipping and pitching drills (e.g., target practice, obstacle courses).
Full Swing Basics
- **Objective:** Teach children the basics of the full swing.
- Introduction to the full swing mechanics (grip, stance, alignment).
- Demonstration of the swing motion (backswing, downswing, follow-through).
- Practice swings with emphasis on coordination and balance.
Woods and Irons
- **Objective:** Introduce children to different types of golf clubs.
- Explanation of woods and irons and their purposes.
- Demonstration of proper setup and swing for woods and irons.
- Practice hitting shots with both woods and irons.
Rules and Etiquette
- **Objective:** Teach children basic golf rules and etiquette.
- Explanation of key rules (out of bounds, hazards, penalties).
- Discussion on golf etiquette (respect for other players, course care).
- On-course etiquette practice (e.g., order of play, marking balls).
Playing on the Course
- **Objective:** Allow children to experience playing on the golf course.
- Introduction to different types of holes (par 3, par 4, par 5).
- On-course playing lessons with a focus on applying learned skills.
- Emphasis on safety and proper behavior on the course.
Fun Challenges and Games
- **Objective:** Reinforce skills learned through fun challenges and games.
- Mini golf tournament among participants.
- Skills challenges (e.g., longest drive, closest to the pin).
- Relay races incorporating golf skills (e.g., dribbling a ball with a club).
Review and Wrap-Up
